Classic Cocktail with a Twist
Chicago Sour
Often called a New York Sour, this cocktail was actually created in Chicago. An update on the classic Whiskey Sour, the Chicago Sour adds a float of red wine for an infusion of dry and fruity flavor (and a nice look, too).

Chicago Sour
ingredients
- 2
oz ANGEL'S ENVY Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels - 3/4
oz fresh squeezed lemon juice - 3/4
oz simple syrup - 1
egg white - 2
oz fruity red wine -
Orange peel garnish
directions
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass.
- Stir for 20 seconds.
- Strain over a big rock.
- Express an orange peel over the glass and garnish.
- Try Lambrusco (sparkling red wine) to add a slightly fizzy feel.
