Morning Glory

The Morning Glory promises to be a morning after remedy, but in reality, it’s not much of a cure. It is, however, a remarkable cocktail. A surprisingly drinkable spirit heavy drink, this cocktail is too good to be reserved only for mornings.

Morning Glory

ingredients
  • 1 oz ANGEL'S ENVY Bourbon finished in port wine barrels
  • 1 oz brut sparkling wine
  • 1 oz cognac
  • 1 bsp simple syrup
  • 1/6 oz Curaçao®
  • 2 dashes Angostura® bitters
  • 1 dash absinthe
  • lemon twist garnish
directions
  • Combine all ingredients, except for the sparkling wine, in a mixing glass.
  • Fill with ice and stir for 20 seconds.
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and top with sparkling wine.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist.
